Jesus Saves, I Spend

I did a little shopping today. Wanted to get some “religious” home decor. I use that word lightly just to make it easier for you to get what I’m talking about. I also gifted myself two new decks because I earned some extra money today. By the way, I want to shout out my sister-in-law, Maria, for blessing us up. Thank you, sissy! I’m so proud of all the progress you’ve been making with yourself and I can’t wait to see you and Trice next weekend. I’m  ...

Do You Even Devo, Bro?

I’m am 58 days deep into doing daily devotions and journaling about what I’m learning from the Bible and trying to apply these teachings to my life.  I feel so content and satiated — on a whole other level that I cannot even begin to explain.  If you would’ve told me last year around this time that I’d be going to church consistently, serving, and doing devotions, I would’ve called your crazy and probably laughed.  Almost 2 months into this and I feel like a  ...

Our Future

This pic is getting printed and placed into a frame! It really gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling to see the youth contributing to our church. I’m overflowing with gratitude that my son, Kainoa, softened his heart and went from being a full blown introvert and atheist, to serving the Lord and being so open to learning new things. He went from wanting to be apart of the worship team and learning piano, to learning how to be the audio guy and manning the soundboard, and now he’s learning how  ...

Weekend Vibes

Such a nice weekend with the kids and Kame’i. Since we’ve started going to church consistently and serving, our lives have made a huge shirt. I thought by doing this we would be drained — energetically & financially and also never have time for our family. I was totally wrong. I feel completely fulfilled an look forward to our weekends, even with all the extra driving during the week, late evenings at church, will still manage to put gas in our car (living paycheck to paycheck off  ...

What Happens in Vegas

Late post but this weekend was family filled. My dad came to visit, we celebrated my nephews birthday and had a BBQ with friends and family at Tahiti Village for Labor Day. Mahalo Winnie and Charlie for inviting us! It was so much fun I forgot to make videos. I have a few I’ll share here from my story. Wish I took more so you could see the pool and the lazy river.

When You Pray for Bae

Nothing more attractive than a big, strong man submitting to our Creator by pushing aside his ego, opening up the Bible and learning more about how he can be a better version of himself through the Word. S I D E B A R: Remember that Bible I bought the other day? I felt called to give it to The Beefcake last night — and he was actually open to accepting it. Mahalo ke Akua for softening his heart.

#thankmelater

Last week Friday, I gifted myself a new bible. I wanted a different version and also something I wouldn’t be too upset for ‘ruining’ because I wanted to take notes in this bible and mark it up. I can’t get myself to do that with my She Reads Truth Bible because it was a little pricey. So I go to Barnes & Noble’s, find an inexpensive Bible and when I get home, I don’t even feel drawn to it. I don’t know what that was about. I totally thought I  ...
